Artist Statement
Dhanya Das, born in 1990, spend most if her life in a small village, in South Kerala. A child prodigy, who started painting at the age of 3, she developed her expertise in painting realistic portraits and gods and goddesses. For her, painting is a meditative process through which she explores and experiences spirituality and get in touch with inner divinity. With a sensitive eye, Dhanya excels in capturing values and hues, and nuanced details in her paintings, giving them a life-like realism.
A self taught artist, who received her MTech in Environmental Engineering from IIT Kanpur, Dhanya is a full time artist from 2016, who boldly choose her passion and devotion towards art, as a way of life. She hopes to bring this optimism and positivity to people through her paintings.
